It is impossible for a faint heart to fill a flush. Majority of Poker Stars players do not understand the idea that the critical part of winning the game is the ability to lose. Preoccupying themselves on avoiding trouble is one thing that most average poker players do. Yes, it makes sense to choose ‘no trouble’ when you choices are ‘trouble’ or ‘no trouble’ and they have the same impact financially. It is ‘the same financial impact’ that makes things critical but seldom do these things happen in poker. Unless you get a thrill out of having meaningless bankroll swings, it would really be silly.

When you are in trouble, your opponents are usually in “trouble” too!

Rare instances like you are in trouble and your opponents are not are the ‘trouble’ situations that you should try to avoid in poker. Your opponents are most probably in trouble during times when you are in trouble. You must know how to court trouble situations in order to make money at poker. Playing no-brainer hands is not the right way to win. What truly matters is making your opponent’s trouble more costly and more difficult than your trouble hands.

Trouble is what you make of it

Mastering the art of troublesome situations is an essential part of the challenge in developing yourself as a Full Tilt poker player. Because the decision-making of excellent poker players is superior, they could easily squeeze money out of the average player’s pocket. This also happens because these mediocre players try to steer clear of trouble altogether. During troublesome times for everybody, a lot of the pot equity is snatched. One thing that distinguishes the best players from the rest is regularly seizing more than their fair share of the equity which is, in essence, up for grabs.

The ones that court trouble are usually the most profitable hands in loose games. The sort of hands that loves as many opponents as possible is KKQQ with two suits in Omaha*. It will scoop a very high percentage when it wins. There could be lots of trouble but it is a great hand. When facing eight loose opponents, it would be utterly stupid to fold it. You are going to be engaged in big action pots much of the time when you continue past the flop. There can be times when you have an easy hand. However, it is in the more difficult situations that you can usually make more money.

It is not a bad thing in itself when you are in a troublesome situation. Like when you flop quads, knowing where you are can, in fact, cost you money most of the time. In reality, trouble in poker is a friend for a winning player. When you are in moderate trouble, you would want you opponents to be in BIG trouble. And since the money that you want is linked to trouble, you can make a profit by getting into trouble situations prudently where you lose some and win some. It would not be considered a problem when your opponents are in worse shape than you are. Always remember that you make money out of trouble.
